USD 50 Million for Pandemic Prevention

The Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs said Indonesia plans to commit to a pandemic prevention of US$50 million in the Financial Intermediary Fund (FIF) Proposal. Deputy for the Coordination of International Economic Cooperation at the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy Edi Prio Pambudi said this was done for the prevention, preparedness and response (PPR) of the pandemic.

In the future, Indonesia can take advantage of the funding available at FIF for pandemic PPR and receive direct benefits to support the transformation of the health sector in Indonesia. Apart from Indonesia, he said there were several other countries that also made commitments such as the United States (US) of 450 million US dollars, Europe 450 million US dollars, Germany 50 million euros and the UK 10 million pounds.
