President Joko Widodo on Wednesday met with the 35 enterprises from the United States under the U.S.-ASEAN Business Council at the State Palace in Jakarta. In the meeting, they pledged commitment to increasing partnerships with Indonesia. President Jokowi asserted that one of Indonesia’s commitments is to create a better investment climate. He also explained Indonesia’s potential in the fields of trade, and manufacturing, to the development of downstream industries.
Furthermore, Jokowi responded and commented on the three sectors that are the main interests of the business group, which are healthcare, energy transition, and technology partnership.
