Jakarta, CNN Indonesia – The Minister of Manpower, Ida Fauziyah, said that the government would use the PeduliLindungi application to monitor the development of office work activities.
She said the government would soon use the application for the pilot phase in several companies. However, there is no certainty when the monitoring will begin.
“This application will be a vital instrument for the piloting process of work implementation in several companies. Especially in monitoring office work activities,” said Ida at the 31st Working Meeting of the Indonesian Employers’ Association (Apindo), Tuesday (24/8).
Ida said the government deliberately used this application because it presented data on workers who had been vaccinated against COVID-19.
This application also provides real-time data and integrated under the command of the Ministry of Communication and Information.
Even so, Ida has not revealed what the government’s intention is to monitor work activities at the company. On the other hand, she ensured that the government would continue to accelerate the vaccination process for workers. “Another effort is to accelerate vaccination for workers. It will be the main prerequisite in carrying out current activities, including in terms of office work,” she explained.
Ida said the government is also preparing a policy roadmap in order to respond to COVID-19 from a pandemic scale to an endemic.
“According to President Jokowi’s directives, we must all be prepared to rise and enter the endemic period. Where we must get used to living side by side with COVID-19,” she concluded.
