Minister of Agriculture Asks G20 Agriculture Working Group to Agree on Food Commitments

Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo hopes that the G20 Agricultural Working Group (AWG) can agree on a joint commitment to ensure a balanced guarantee of national food supply from local agricultural products. This meeting is part of a series of activities of the Agricultural Working Group whose culmination will be attended by ministers of agriculture from all over the world on 6-8 September in Bali.
“We agreed to carry the theme of production and trade balance for food needs for everyone,” Syahrul said in a statement quoted by Antara , Tuesday (26/7). The plan is that the echelon I level meeting will be held in a hybrid manner. More than 100 delegates will attend and participate offline and online at this meeting. In addition to inviting G20 member countries, the implementation of this ADM also invited 13 other international organizations. it was continued with the discussion of AWG concrete deliverables , as well as the main activity of the ADM meeting, namely the discussion of the draft communique/declaration of the Minister of Agriculture G20 Indonesian Presidency 2022
