Kadin Indonesia established the Carbon Market Hub as a commitment to support the realization of G20’s energy transition. “This is done through at least two initiatives, namely the effort to establish a Carbon Market Hub in Indonesia and the blended finance initiative for the green energy transition. We are working on this in B20 as a legacy outcome,” said Deputy Chairperson of Kadin Indonesia for International Relations Shinta Widjaja Kamdani.
Shinta, who also serves as Chairman of B20, said that Indonesia is also running a biofuel program and developing electric vehicles (EVs). To that end, Kadin Indonesia will conduct a campaign and seek partners from G20 member countries. This is done to support the acceleration of the transformation of air, land, sea transportation modes to digital or electric to reduce the use of fossil energy.
