President Jokowi  granted permission for  foreign workers (TKA) to work for a long time in the National Capital ( IKN ) of the archipelago. He laid out the red carpet in Government Regulation Number 12 of 2023 concerning Granting Business Licensing, Ease of Doing Business and Investment Facilities for Business Players in the Archipelago’s Capital City. In the regulation signed by Jokowi on March 6, the red carpet is contained in Articles 22 and 23. In Article 22, Jokowi stipulates that business actors carrying out business activities in the Archipelago Capital region can employ foreign workers for certain positions in accordance with the provisions of the law. -invitation. Business actors who employ foreign workers include those who carry out government strategic project work at IKN. In Article 23, Jokowi stipulates that foreign workers employed by these business actors can be granted a residence permit for a maximum period of 10 years. n addition to the 10-year period, the red carpet was also given by Jokowi, freeing the obligation to pay compensation funds for the use of foreign workers for a certain period of time.
