January Inflation as the Effect of Increasing Economy

Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto said that inflation in January 2022, which was recorded at 2.18 percent, was driven by the increasing mobility and economic activity of the community. The inflation is still under control within the inflation target range of 3 percent plus minus 1 percent (yoy).

BPS said that the largest share of inflation in January 2022 came from food, beverages and tobacco at 0.30 percent followed by housing, water, electricity and household fuel groups of 0.10 percent.
