Indo-Pacific – Trip by Olivier Becht to Australia, Indonesia and Singapore (September 18 to 27, 2022)

Mr. Olivier Becht, Minister Delegate to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs in charge of Foreign Trade, Attractiveness and French Citizens Abroad, is traveling to three countries in the Indo-Pacific zone – Australia , Indonesia and Singapore – from September 18 to 27, 2022. The Minister Delegate’s trip aims to strengthen the economic pillar of our strategy in the Indo-Pacific, an essential region of the global economy. This trip is an opportunity for Mr. Olivier Becht to meet his counterparts and representatives of established French companies, in order to salute the investments and partnerships put in place and to create new ones. The Minister Delegate will highlight the attractiveness of France to local companies that could invest in our territory.
In Indonesia, France wants to support the economic recovery that is taking place in this country of more than 270 million inhabitants, and in particular offer its expertise in the field of renewable energies, digital technology and urban development. The Minister Delegate will also take part in the meeting of G20 Trade Ministers in Bali from September 21 to 23, 2022, to reaffirm France’s commitment to promoting free and fair trade, based on the rules of the multilateral system.
