Transportation Minister Budi Karya Sumadi affirmed that the VVIP terminal of Halim
Perdanakusuma Airport, Jakarta, is ready to welcome G20 delegates, as the airport
revitalization project, underway since March 2022, was complete.
According to Sumadi, the airport resumed operations on September 1, 2022, to serve
commercial flights for general passengers after temporarily halting operations in March 2022. Before being operated again on September 1, 2022, the Transportation Ministry, through its Directorate General of Air Transportation, had coordinated with TNI AU, AP II, AirNav Indonesia, and other relevant parties to ensure the safety, security, and service aspects and regulations are fulfilled. The revitalization of Halim Perdanakusuma Airport is expected to improve service and comfort for airplane passengers, both VVIP state guests and the general public.
