Airlangga Wants G20 to be united in Facing Global Trade Challenges

Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto wants a multilateral approach to be used to face global trade and economic challenges. Therefore, the  G20 forum must be united to support the trade, investment and industrial sectors. “The G20 is a strategic platform to answer these challenges. We must not be divided in our actions and vision for a better and stronger world economic growth in the future,” said Airlangga after attending The High Level Forum on Trade, Investment, and Industry Working Group (TIIWG). According to Airlangga, it is important for the G20 to pave the way for the WTO to remain relevant and discuss the trade and economic impacts of the geopolitical situation, Airlangga also invited countries in the world to collaborate to ensure the implementation of Industry 4.0 in order to reduce logistics costs and absorb shocks in global value chains.
