TRIBUN BALI.COM, MANGUPURA – Continuing his working visit in Bali, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) visited Museum Pasifika in the tourism area of Nusa Dua, South Kuta District, Badung Regency, Saturday (15 January 2022).
Menparekraf Sandiaga said that there are opportunities for various works of art including Non-Fungible Token (NFT) and Metaverse, Museum Pasifika is expected to be the agent of this change.
“Now in the midst of NFT and also how to monetize works of art in metaverse, we see an opportunity. Museum Pasifika must be an agent of change as well, so it is not only a death monument but also a living monument,” said Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno.
He also explained that his ministry is now supporting Philippe Augier and various museum organizers.
According to him, the current museum must transform, from what was previously a static museum or death monument to a living monument.
After touring the museum, Menparekraf Sandiaga thought about making Museum Pasifika as one of the side venues for G20 activities. “Maybe we can start by having lunch or cocktails or dinner here bringing guests (G20 delegates) so they can appreciate our work for economic revival and job creation. This is what we hope for,” he said.
