L’Oréal had just launched their Hair and Skin Research Grant 2021 (6/7). This research funding is in collaboration with Indonesian Society of Dermatology and Venereology (INSDV/Perdoski) and University of Indonesia.
The total available grants are IDR 250 million for 1-3 projects. The program is open for all Indonesian researchers in the field of hair and skin who are member of Perdoski.
Dr. Michelle Vershoore, Medical Director L’Oréal Research, Innovation, and Technologies, in the press release stated that this program is a part of L’Oreal commitment to further develop the knowledge of hair and skin’s physiology. The launch of the grant fund aims to support Indonesian researchers and dermatologists to develop scientific research on hair and skin in Indonesia.
The funding program focuses on skin and hair research with the domains of laboratory studies, clinical studies, quality of life studies, or epidemiological research.
Chairman of Perdoski, Dr. dr. M. Yulianto Listiawan, Sp.KK(K), FINSDV, FAADV, welcomed this initiative with an open hand. “We hope that it can be the door for various collaborations between L’Oréal Indonesia, Perdoski, and various IPDS in Indonesia in the future, in order to achieve an increase in health status in the field of hair and skin for all Indonesian people,” he said. The deadline for receiving proposals is August 31 2021. All proposals will be assessed by international and national judges from Perdoski, University of Indonesia, and L’Oréal Research and Innovation. The selected research proposal will be implemented within one year and the results will be communicated nationally and internationally.
