Indonesia’s Immigration Launches Multiple Entry Visa in Batam

The Directorate General of Immigration at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights launched a multiple entry visa or locally called Visa Kunjungan Beberapa Kali Perjalanan (VKBP) at Nongsa Point Marina, Batam City, Monday, November 28, 2022. The policy was targeted at Singaporean citizens and foreigners with Singapore Permanent Resident status.

VKBP allows foreigners to enter Indonesia several times within one year without the need to re-apply for a visa. Foreigners are allowed to stay in the country for a maximum of 60 days on each arrival. VKBP expected to facilitate foreigners traveling on business in the country. The ease of immigration is part of the non-fiscal incentive to bring in income for the country leading to rising people’s economy.this policy would continue to be evaluated quarterly to find out its effectiveness in attracting global business players as well as quality tourists to Indonesia. Immigration also had previously issued a second home visa policy which allows certain foreigners or ex-Indonesian citizens to stay for 5 or 10 years and Visa on Arrival (VoA).
