Indonesia Raises Maritime Issues at G20 Ministerial Meeting

At the Kick-Off G20 Environment Deputies Ministerial-Climate and Sustainable Working Group (EDM-CSWG): Leading for Sustainability which was held online, Environment and Forestry Minister Siti Nurbaya Bakar stated that marine issues would be raised considering the huge potential of blue carbon, especially in mangrove ecosystems, to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Other issues that will be promoted are related to the effective management of terrestrial and marine ecosystems as well as encouraging the mobilization of resources to support environmental conservation efforts and achieve climate change mitigation targets.
