The European Union authorizes the use of Indonesia’s PeduliLindungi app in its territory starting May 11, 2022. With this implementation, the Covid-19 vaccination certificate issued by Indonesia is equivalent to that issued by the European Government, in accordance with EU regulation no.2021/953.
“Travelers will only need to show their PeduliLindungi app, and show the QR code to EU authorities, they can immediately read it,” said the Indonesian Foreign Ministry’s Economic Recovery Acceleration Team’s (TPPE) secretary, Lintang Paramita. With this equalization, Indonesia joins 40 other countries whose vaccine certificate systems have been recognized by the EU. This cooperation automatically involves the 27 member states of the European Union.
